Children’s Missioner
The post of Children’s Missioner has become available here at the Vine Community Church Littleport. The suitable applicant must be in agreement with the churches beliefs (see VineCCL.org.uk) and have a living relationship with the Lord Jesus. He or she will have a heart to work with children and experience working with them. He or she will be required to coordinate Sunday School, which involves other members of the Church who volunteer on a rota basis. He or she will lead the Energise Children’s Club (5-11 year olds) on a Thursday evening 5.30pm to 6.45pm which alternates with Energise Youth (12-14 year olds) on a Thursday 5.30pm till 7.00pm.
A key part of this post is leading or helping to lead Pop Up Church in both the local primary schools, which at present take place on Tuesday (Millfield Primary School) and Wednesday (Littleport Community Primary School). Both take place just after lunch for each of the schools. The responsibility for Pop Up churches is shared between the Littleport Churches Together (LCT).
During the summer holiday we would like the suitable candidate to organise and lead a Holiday Club (helped by a team of volunteers) in the mornings for three days or more. We also provide an alternative to Halloween by putting on a Light Party. Other ventures may be required as and when appropriate.
